“I don’t know whose idea it was, but we decided to kill ourselves because it was so horrendous what was happening,” Ruth Madoff told a 60 Minutes interviewer, in an episode that will air this weekend. So she and husband Bernie apparently took “a bunch” of pills on Christmas Eve, including Klonopin and Ambien. The next morning, they woke safe, sound, and happy to be alive.
