In local blog news, Gawker Media boss Nick Denton announced via Twitter this morning that longtime Deadspin editor A.J. Daulerio will step in for Remy Stern as editor of the company’s flagship site. Senior Deadspin editor Tommy Craggs will move up to run the sports blog. Stern was made editor-in-chief a little less than two years ago when Denton acquired Stern’s still-dormant Cityfile and fired Gawker editor Gabriel Snyder “out of nowhere.” Update: Stern is “stepping down” effective January 1, but will be a consultant for the site, according to an internal memo.
