Even though his continued presence in the GOP race is clearly just an excuse to visit zoos around the country on Sheldon Adelson’s dime, a planned Gingrich campaign stop at the Birmingham Zoo today has been canceled “as a precaution after reviewing weather reports,” according to a Gingrich press release.
