Sirius XM Says Liberty Media Trying to Take ‘De Facto Control’

Back in 2009, Sirius XM radio was drowning in debt — did Howard Stern’s half-a-billion contract break the bank? — so John Malone’s Liberty Media stepped in, earning itself a hefty voting share in the company in the process. But now Sirius says Liberty is trying to grab control of its Earth station licenses, and has asked the FCC to dismiss Liberty’s petition.
