“Because they cannot leave the nest to relieve themselves, baby hawks, in order to keep from fouling the nest, lift their backsides and forcefully expel their droppings in a process known as slicing,” reports the Times. “At this point, it is not possible to hoist a cleaning rig up to the 12th floor without risking human or hawk injury, but we may be able to adjust the camera height — above the slice line — in the next few days.” Stay strong till then, world!
