
During an appearance on former governor David Paterson’s radio show yesterday, current New York governor Andrew Cuomo finally threw his backing to congressman Charlie Rangel, who is facing the first serious reelection fight in his 21-term career. Among his opponents are Adriano Espaillat, an up-and-coming Latino state senator, as well as a former Clinton aide and a onetime Rangel intern — all “good people,” Cuomo said. But, at the end of the day, “you can not underestimate the value of seniority.” Sort of like how you can not underestimate the value of real estate.
