As we learned when the hashtag took over our Twitter feed this morning, today is Mashable’s third annual Social Media Day. It’s kind of bad timing, as the big storm that hit the Washington D.C. area last night knocked out Amazon’s Elastic Compute Cloud, along with Netflix, Pinterest, and Instagram, which remains down. Still, we honored the effort by surveying the Twittersphere’s take on our brave new social media world.
