Reacting to today’s Supreme Court decision to uphold Obamacare, John Heilemann said on Andrea Mitchell Reports, “This is going to be a political issue this fall. The Romney campaign does see a way to make hay with this, which is going to make the president have to defend it.” It being the individual mandate — the controversial, unpopular, unconstitutional core of President Obama’s health care plan. Heilemann predicts Obama’s spin will sound something like this: “Hey, this is now the law and if you let it play out, we’re gonna have benefits for you that you’re gonna like.” We’re pretty sure they mean ice cream.
