Two Dudes Successfully Long-Jump Over Subway Tracks

Anyone who has waited for a train long enough without a book or a magazine or an iPod or a tablet to occupy the mind has probably wondered whether they could jump across the tracks. It doesn’t look that far, but then again, when was the last time you long-jumped? It’s not something that comes up in your day-to-day life, or even when you participate “in sport.“ Maybe you would only get halfway across the tracks, pause in mid-air, and plummet, Wile E. Coyote–style. You decide, wisely, not to try it. You spend the rest of your wait watching the rats doing rat things.

Well, anyway, two dudes recently jumped across the tracks at the 9th Avenue D station in Brooklyn. They made it. You, still, probably couldn’t, though.
