“It took the wind out of my sails,” 57-year-old sand artist Matthew Long told the AP after showing up to the South Street Seaport this morning to find his 23-ton sculpture of a ship half-demolished and covered in boot prints belonging to someone wearing “about a size nine.” Long later sent Daily Intel a ‘before’ and ‘after’ shot—see below.
