The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers unveiled the applications for new top-level domain names (think .com or .net) today, and they go way beyond .nyc, which the city wants for itself. While companies like Google, Microsoft, and Amazon have applied for predictable suffixes like .app, .bing, and .book — with each application running them $185,000 — the full list includes more creative ones like .baby, .ketchup, and .sex, the latter of which somehow only piqued the interest of two applicants. The web will never be the same.
