The G Train Extension Will Live On After All

Since 2009, the lovable mess that is the G train has been making five extra stops deeper into South Brooklyn because of construction. That was all scheduled to end soon, leaving the line even less convenient than it has been, but the Daily News reports that the MTA will make the extension permanent, even though a petition to fight the shortening failed to meet its goal of 7,500 signatures. It’s great news for all commuters relying on the local line, but especially those with relationships that depend on the transit arrangement. The last thing downtrodden G riders need is another thing to be sad about.
