Mitt Romney Accidentally Credits President Obama for Creating 3.7 Million Jobs

On CNBC yesterday, Mitt Romney claimed that it will take six months or a year after he’s sworn in as president to see an uptick in jobs because that’s about how long it will take to get his “policies in place.” Makes sense. Of course, Romney doesn’t allow Obama the same cushion, as he routinely counts job losses from Obama’s first year in office. As Steve Benen notes, if Romney applies his own standard to Obama, he’d have to acknowledge that Obama’s policies, once “in place,” created 3.7  million jobs, and 4.2 in the private sector.
