Kid Rock Lent Some of His Rock ’n’ Roll Edge to Paul Ryan

After striking out with Rage Against the Machine and Dee Snider, Ryan finally found at least one rock star willing to appear onstage with him: Kid Rock, whose song “Born Free” has been adopted by the Romney campaign as its official anthem. Here is a sample of the pair’s rockin’ repartee at a Michigan fundraiser yesterday:

KR: I was going to be a little wisenheimer and say, “Which one is running for vice president?” Then they would introduce Paul and I would walk out and say hello.

PRSo one of us is running for vice president, but only one of us was listening to “Bawitdaba” in the motorcade on the way over here.
