Last month, a man described by a witness as looking “like most people who work in Dumbo (a bit hipster-ish)” was reported for appearing to take an iPhone video up a woman’s skirt at the York Street F station. Gothamist reports today that the suspect has been arrested and identified as Boyd Shropshire, a Queens-based musician and illustrator who has been interviewed by Converse and, according to his LinkedIn, designed album art for Matador Records artist Kurt Vile. While the felony criminal charges for unlawful surveillance still have to be proven (we’ve reached out to Shropshire for comment), the sociological accusations seem less in doubt.
