Apparently President Obama hasn’t given up on the stoner vote, despite their notoriously low turnout rates. In a campaign video released Monday, President Obama calls former employee Kal Penn to make sure he’s still onboard to carry out his special task. “Just remember I’m trusting you on this,” he tells Penn, who’s watching TV with Harold & Kumar’s John Cho. A voice-over reveals that Penn is hosting the Democratic National Convention’s official livestream on Thursday, but it isn’t entirely clear from the phone conversation that President Obama wasn’t asking Penn to have a giant bag of White Castle waiting for him after the speech.
