A Nassau County Emergency Service cop was killed this morning on the Cross Island Parkway near the Queens border after a driver allegedly left the scene of an accident, the Post reports. One suspect was also shot and killed, according to the Times, while a second person involved is still on the loose. Update: The Times now reports that the civilian found dead was not a suspect, but another motorist whose car was then stolen by the shooter, who remains at large.
