Just weeks after Long Island Power Authority CEO Michael Hervey resigned, two more executives are quitting, and amazingly all three say it’s just a coincidence that they’re exiting as the utility is being investigated for its shoddy response to Hurricane Sandy. Hervey said he’d been planning to step down for months, board member X. Cristofer Damianos wants to devote more time to his real estate business, and vice-president of customer service Bruce Germano says this is “purely a personal decision.” Governor Cuomo had only filled one of seven vacancies on the LIPA board before the storm hit, and he still hasn’t named a replacement for Hervey.
