Someone Reportedly Jumped Onto the L Train Tracks This Morning

In what continues to be a nightmare week for the New York City subway system, a man jumped in front of the L train this morning in Brooklyn, according to witnesses. A FDNY spokesperson told Gothamist that the person was removed at East 105th Street and Farragut, but it’s still unclear whether the individual was hit. One woman tweeted that he “came out in one piece,” adding, “I can’t imagine what one is going through to make them want to take their own life, especially with an audience. I’m lost for words and late for work.” Service has since resumed with residual delays.

Update: DNA Info reports that a man in his twenties was struck by a train and seriously injured.
