The man who police say jumped in front of an oncoming subway train yesterday in Manhattan had just posted bail after being charged with possessing child pornography, the New York Daily News reports, and it gets weirder from there. Shawn Klein, 52, previously made news when he and his partner became the first gay New Yorkers to get married atop the Empire State Building as winners of the annual Valentine’s Day contest. After Klein was hit by a 6 train in an apparent suicide attempt, he was taken to the hospital where he works as an administrator and may have been saved. “The doctors lost him once on the table and they brought him back,” said his sister. “That’s all I know. We’re just waiting.”
