Andrew Sullivan has been getting ready to move The Dish from The Daily Beast to its own subscription-funded home, and just after midnight on Monday he did so, explaining the move in a blog post that does not require a subscription to read — but then, Sullivan promises it will never require a subscription to read links shared by other sites. “I want to personally soothe Dan Savage’s concern on this point.” Right now it looks like a pretty normal blog, with updating stories in the middle, featured items on the right, and a masthead below them, but Sullivan writes that his team will be “sharing some of the new features of the site in the morning,” so if you’re curious, you can stop by and see for yourself.
