ABC News has announced its second New York Times poaching in as many days, snagging both political reporter Jeff Zeleny and national reporter Susan Saulny for its news division. Politico first reported ABC’s sniffing around last week, and it worked despite Times editor Jill Abramson’s exceptional begging in the form of lavish praise: She called the pair “fantastic,” “terrific,” “tremendously gifted,” and much more.
