
After officers nearly killed Margie Carranza and her mother Emma Hernandez when they mistook their blue Toyota Tacoma for Christopher Dorner’s gray Nissan Titan, the LAPD promised to replace their truck. A month later they still have no vehicle. The women were originally offered a used truck, and their lawyer says the latest offer would have required them to pay taxes on the replacement. The LAPD is still working on the problem, but anyone waiting for that $1 million reward shouldn’t hold their breath.
