The omnipresence of cell-phone video assures that messy incidents like this one, in which a police officer attempting to break up a fight outside of a New Jersey nightclub reaches back and punches a woman directly in the face, are documented and appropriately probed. But while the department is looking into it, it’s also worth considering the ubiquity of the “Wooorldstaaar!!!” tag in recent Internet fight videos, shouted without fail by the camera-person or a random observer in reference to the website whose founder told this magazine that he hopes to depict “the whole gamut; A-to-Z; soup-to-nuts; the good, the bad, and the ugly of the urban experience.” See for yourself, if you can stomach it.
