“Talk of the Nation,” the call-in show that has run for the last 21 years, has been canceled in favor of a “magazine-style news show” more like the bedrock programs “Morning Edition” and “All Things Considered.” The Boston-based “Here and Now” will fill the void starting July 1, and a generation of callers will slowly learn to become Internet commenters.
