While Barack Obama was in Connecticut to discuss gun control yesterday, a 27-year-old homeless man was shooting cans with a BB gun by the side of the road. Unfortunately for Joseph Stravinskas, law enforcement doesn’t really play around when it comes to things that look like rifles in the vicinity of the president: While patrolling the motorcade route, a detective “heard a rustling sound in a lightly wooded area” and confronted Stravinskas, who “wasn’t cooperative … and was arrested.” The Secret Service then had to check him out, just in case, so he was not the only one inconvenienced.
