Susan Becker was arrested in Hauppauge, Long Island on Friday on charges related to her decision to give her 15-year-old daughter, 13-year-old son, and one of his friends a BB gun, which she then encouraged them to shoot out the window of her car as she drove, according to police. Becker’s choice of family activity resulted in “60 reports of damage to car windows in the Islandia, Hauppauge and Commack areas over the past two weeks.” The 43-year-old, who has no prior criminal record, was arraigned Saturday on criminal mischief and endangering the welfare of a child, among other charges. Her bail has been set at $30,000. One of her East Northport neighbors told NBC New York, “This doesn’t seem real. She’s just such a good person.” Now she’s just a cool mom.
