
Dannel Malloy, whose state is just passed what are now the nation’s toughest gun laws, handily dismissed the criticisms of NRA head Wayne LaPierre during a Sunday appearance on State of the Union. “Wayne reminds me of the clowns at the circus. They get the most attention and that’s what he’s paid to do,” said Malloy. That comparison actually stuck us as relatively kind — everyone has to making a living somehow! — though he did follow it by saying that LaPierre “is so out of whack, it’s unbelievable.”
