The Post Cracks the Secret Code of the Times Square Mascot

In light of the recent toddler-shoving incident, the Post sent one of its reporters to pose as an out-of-town mom, stiffing the occasionally terrifying Times Square furries after posing for photos. She didn’t witness any assaults, but she did learn that the characters “use hand signals to spread the word about perceived cheapskates,” i.e. they make a slicing motion across their throat. People probably piece that together while the furries are chasing them down the block demanding payment.
