Or rather, a finger. Police say Anita Smith and Mark Lee posed as buyers and set up a meeting with Midtown sneaker salesman Mamadou Diallo, but when they arrived at his office on May 11 Lee allegedly shot Diallo in the leg and Smith Maced him. Before the robbers could flee, the victim grabbed Smith and bit off half of her right index finger. Police tracked the suspects down in New Jersey after calling 911 dispatchers to see if anyone had called to report a mangled digit.
