The previously ubiquitous Newark mayor has been avoiding the spotlight recently, and didn’t appear in a single TV interview last month. BuzzFeed reports that Booker is focusing on laying the foundation for his 2014 Senate campaign, and spent the past few weeks putting together his campaign staff and doing fundraisers.
