The NYPD is now looking for eight men in connection with the Sunday attack on a young gay couple outside Madison Square Garden. A witness to the beating — which happened at the end of the Knicks’ loss to the Pacers and left 27-year-old Nick Porto and 22-year-old Kevin Atkins with a broken nose and a broken wrist, respectively — managed to record a cellphone video of the assailants as they left the scene. The police released the footage Wednesday evening. Most of dudes were sporting Knicks gear and do not appear to have been too worried about getting in trouble: they seemed to be walking at a normal pace, and two of them stopped to attend to a dropped hat. All are considered persons of interest in a possible hate crime investigation.
