Man Mails White Powder, Innocently

With whack jobs always sending dangerous dust to people in power, the FDNY was right to call the cops when it received a letter including a Ziploc bag of white powder this morning. But it’s not what it looks like, The Wall Street Journal reports: “The letter was written on FDNY letterhead that is available on the Internet for those wanting to send inquiries to the fire department … The sender wrote that he wanted help identifying the powder, which was falling off the walls of his garage [editor’s note: drywall?] and his children played with.” A curious decision, sure, but you can see where he was going with it.
