But the team shrugged off critics on Wednesday and officially hired one of their best-known alums, Jason Kidd, as head coach, even though the 40-year-old who retired this month has never coached before. Kidd has a guaranteed three-year deal with the team, less than two weeks after he retired as a player. Guy can certainly win the job-search game, at least.
