DOMA Decision Convinced New Yorkers to Make It Official

Although gay marriage has been legal in New York since 2011, The Wall Street Journal reports “some 180 couples wed in New York on Thursday, up from 151 who got married the previous Thursday, and 339 received marriage licenses, a 20% increase from a week ago.” Sure, based on the small sample size it could just be a coincidence, but we’re going to go ahead and picture Justice Kennedy dressed up like Cupid anyway.
