Christine Quinn’s memoir With Patience and Fortitude was supposed to win over female voters with endearing tales of overcoming bulimia, alcoholism, and Kardashian-related wedding mishaps, but few have actually opened it. The Daily News reports that a week after its release, the book is ranked 224,525 in book sales on Amazon while 2001’s Bloomberg by Bloomberg comes in at 17,216. Peter McCarthy, founder of the publishing consulting firm McCarthy Digital, suggests selling copies might not matter. “If the goal is to gain votes, not sell books — if they’re using the book like a poster, it’s better to keep it in the store,” he said.
