If you’ve been following the surreal conflict between two Times Square panhandlers, Weed Head and Beer Man, you know the man who wears a pot-leaf-adorned box on his head allegedly stabbed the man who carries an “I need beer” sign in the face with a pen. Weed Man, also known as Dwight Laird, stands by that course of action: “He deserves what he got,” Laird told the New York Post. “I’m not proud of what I did, but I’m not apologizing.” It’s going to be a tense summer on 42nd Street.
