In case you weren’t sufficiently terrified by this map of last year’s traffic fatalities, here’s another reminder to pay attention to traffic and stay off your cell phone, even as a pedestrian. According to the New York Post, King Fong was talking on her phone while crossing Bay Parkway against the light Saturday night when a Dodge sedan hit her. Despite onlookers doing their best to administer CPR, the 79-year-old later died at Lutheran Medical Center. So go ahead and pause that Candy Crush game next time you venture off the sidewalk.
