
Former New York Times food critic and culture editor Sam Sifton is leaving his current post as national editor, his boss Jill Abramson announced in a memo today, “to create an immersive digital magazine experience, a lean back read that will include new, multimedia narratives in the tradition of Snow Fall,” last year’s much-discussed (but not universally loved) elaborate storytelling experiment. In other digital initiatives, Grey Lady heir Arthur Gregg Sulzberger will move from the metro desk to lead “a new ideas task force.”
