Thirty-year-old Matthew Zeno died last night in Williamsburg after he was reportedly electrocuted while urinating on the third rail of the subway tracks at Union Avenue and Broadway. According to the New York Post and DNAinfo, a second man was also shocked while attempting to help Zeno, but he remains in stable condition. The MTA version of events denies a “whiz-third rail connection” but says Zeno may have fallen onto the tracks because he was startled by a train. The accident occurred just after 3 a.m., and Zeno’s Facebook page puts him at a bar in the area just prior.
