Sarah Palin May Grudgingly Agree to Run for Senate

Sarah Palin announced on Sean Hannity’s radio show Tuesday that she’s considering running for Senate in 2014, as the American people are crying out for her brand of folksy, occasionally offensive leadership. “I’ve considered it because people have requested me considering it,” she said. “But I’m still waiting to see what the lineup will be and hoping that…there will be some new blood, new energy, not just kind of picking from the same old politicians in the state.” So far, Alaska Lt. Gov. Mead Treadwell and 2010 GOP nominee Joe Miller have said they’ll challenge Democratic Sen. Mark Begich for his seat in 2014. A tea party group pressuring Palin to enter the race conducted a poll that conveniently has her leading the Republican primary ballot.

When pressed on whether she’d run, Pain said, “Any American with a heart for service has to always have in the back of their mind that they would do anything [and] everything that they could to help the cause – even if perhaps it’s something that doesn’t look necessarily appealing or necessarily fitting in with a conventional plan that they would try to orchestrate for themselves and their family.” Or, much like her 2012 presidential campaign that never materialized, she might just spend a lot of time talking about helping the cause.
