Tabloid Twins” Anthony Weiner and Eliot Spitzer are both leading their respective races, according to a new Quinnipiac poll, which confirms that New Yorkers remain unconcerned with learning who these other candidates are. Weiner, now (arguably!) the second shadiest guy involved in the city races, has 25 percent of the primary vote, compared to Christine Quinn’s 22 percent, Bill Thompson’s 11 percent, and Bill de Blasio’s 10 percent. Don’t even ask about the other guys.

Notably, 21 percent of those polled are still undecided on the mayoral race. And to illustrate that point further, 45 percent of those polled said they do not know enough about Bill Thompson, who ran against Bloomberg for mayor in 2009, to have an opinion.

Spitzer leads over Manhattan borough president Scott Stringer 48–33, gaining five points since last week. And even with the disgraced governor drawing attention to whatever a comptroller is, “62 percent of Democrats haven’t heard enough about [Stringer] to form an opinion.” It’s going to be a long summer.
