With this mayoral primary race is in its frenzied final few days, people are getting tired. But part of a mailer from Joe Lhota’s campaign attacking John Catsimatidis is just sloppy: The small print under the accusation that Catsimatidis donated money to former State Comptroller Alan Hevesi, a Democrat who did prison time, reads: “Waiting for information supporting this … ” But Lhota’s in luck! Azi Paybarah, who noticed the gaffe in Capital New York, found the state record to support the claim. Just very publicly.
