John Catsimatidis officially left the mayoral race on Friday, after Republicans pressured him not to stay in as an independent following his primary loss. But he has plenty more to say, some of which he got off his chest in a rambling e-mail to supporters on Sunday. Catsimatidis raised some questions about the vote count, suggesting he might still pull off a win once all the absentee ballots are tallied. He was particularly perplexed by his loss in Manhattan: “Manhattan I Found Strange that we only received 3000 votes out of 11,300 cast … Very Strange.” He also claimed to be the victim of foul play: “There were so many Dirty Tricks ..were tens of Thousands of ROBO Calls were made to New Yorkers saying it was our Campaign annoying Voters against us.” But the Cat Man isn’t one to get discouraged. “This is NOT GOODBYE but SEE YOU LATER,” he wrote. Can’t wait!
