Goldman Sachs Banker Pleads Not Guilty to Hamptons Rape

Lee.

37-year-old Goldman Sachs managing director Jason Lee pleaded not guilty to charges of raping a 20-year-old woman in East Hampton in August. Lee has been accused of assaulting the woman — described as “an Irish seasonal worker” by the New York Post — after meeting her at a restaurant and inviting her back to his $33,000-a-month rented summer home for what turned into a naked pool party. According to prosecutors, the woman went to the bathroom, and Lee “shoved his way through the door and began raping the woman before she stopped the attack with a forceful knee to his groin.” Lee, who is currently on personal leave from Goldman’s equity capital markets department, maintains the sex was consensual, and left his Friday arraignment on $100,000 bond with his “grim-faced wife.”
