The unnamed 37-year-old told the New York Post (and the police) that he was recovering from pneumonia at Richmond University Medical Center last Wednesday when the suspect asked a nurse to give him a large dose of Benadryl. “He waited for it to take effect and then he told me to come to the bathroom,” said the victim, who explained that the attack “happened quick. I was too messed up on medication to do anything about it.” The hospital has suspended the alleged rapist and is cooperating with the NYPD’s investigation into this nightmarish situation.
