One thing we learned from reports of the city’s plan to track deer on Staten Island via airplane is that you have to do that kind of work at night so they’ll show up better on the infrared camera. Also, there are a lot of deer on Staten Island. And apparently, the city has a plane and an infrared camera it can use for tracking deer. Anyway, the animals keep getting hit by cars on Staten Island, so it’s probably a good idea to figure out how many there are and where they live.
