The Daily Show, though usually preaching to its sardonic choir, is still the best there is at illustrating just how inane the mainstream media can be. In a wonderful example last night, Jon Stewart beat up on CNN for constantly boiling down complicated issues to — literally — “good or bad?” It was good! “Nobody watches this network unless they’re in the airport,” he admitted, halfheartedly explaining the epic dumbing-down. And sure, the other networks do it, too, but “when Fox asks, they know the answer.”
