Lawrence O’Donnell Seems to Think Yellowstone National Park Is in Utah

Cable news hasn’t had a great record recently with knowing where various places exist. MSNBC displayed a map of the Northeast in which four out of four cities were in the wrong locations. CNN put Hong Kong somewhere in South America. And last night on The Last Word, while giddily analyzing the backlash in Utah against shutdown-supporting senator Mike Lee, Lawrence O’Donnell seemed to be under the impression that Yellowstone National Park is in Utah. In fact, the nation’s most famous national park resides mostly in Wyoming, with some land in Idaho and Montana. But not Utah. Is our cable news anchors learning?
