Bill de Blasio and Mayor Bloomberg don’t see eye-to-eye on many things — stop and frisk, taxing the wealthy, turning the city into a bleak dystopia (according to Joe Lhota) — but they do agree on forcing New Yorkers to be healthy. De Blasio announced today that, as mayor, he would keep fighting in court to reverse a ruling striking down the city’s ban on large sodas. De Blasio also supports Bloomberg’s smoking and trans-fat bans, and his calorie-count law. So get used to being nannied/having your life prolonged.
